The 2024 deadCenter Film Festival continues to day 2, and the great movies keep coming. In this episode of The Cinematic Schematic, we dive deep into one of this year’s most exciting genre films at the festival, Tim Travers and the Time Traveler’s Paradox.
The film’s writer, director, executive producer, and mastermind behind the film, Stimson Snead, joins the show to talk about how he adapted the original short film.

Tim Travers explores the high sci-fi concept of paradoxes through the lens of the titular mad scientist and probable narcissist(Samuel Dunning) as he goes on a mission to kill god.
We won’t spoil too much but know this movie goes to wildly unexpected places featuring interesting people played by character actors like Felicia Day, Danny Trejo, and Keith David along the way.
Several awesome movies are debuting at deadCenter today. It’s hard to imagine any of them will be as inventive, thoughtful, and full of the type of goofy spectacle you’d normally see at a midnight movie.

About Tim Travers and the Time Traveler’s Paradox
According to the description found on the deadCenter website, Tim Travers and the Time Traveller’s Paradox can be described as:
It is called the Time Traveler’s Paradox, in which a scientist creates a time machine and kills his younger self. So now a man who should not – cannot – exist somehow does. That is the paradox, and paradoxes are impossible. And the man who has created it is Tim Travers, a reclusive mad scientist whose stated mission in life is to stand alone with God at the end of time and tell the bastard off.
In the course of his adventure, Tim Travers will take on the mercenary gang whose stolen plutonium powers his machine, challenge an Alex Jones-esque podcaster to a battle of wits, create a black hole, meet the one woman alive crazier than him, clone himself, destroy the universe, make a new one, and maybe, just maybe, learn to love himself at last.
