The Cinematropolis Radio continues our special deadCenter 2017 interview series with a roundtable talk featuring writer/director Mickey Reece and the stars of his film Alien, Jacob Snovel and Cate Jones.

    About Mickey Reece’s Alien:

Mickey Reece’s Alien is a film conveyed through sensual black and white photography, brooding musical compositions and wry humor. It is a rumination on spirituality, space and divine existentialism inspired by the later years of Elvis and Priscilla Presley’s tumultuous marriage.

In our discussion, we talk about the inspirations for Mickey’s unique take on the later years of the Presley marriage. Jacob and Cate describe their different character research processes and, to wrap up the conversation, Mickey talks about his approach to interpreting and portraying the history and mythology of Elvis.
