The Cinematic Schematic sits down with two filmmakers behind the short film making waves, and getting under everyone’s skin on the midnight movie circuit, Man Eating Pussy, ahead of its appearance at SIFF 2026.

The story sits in a hotel at the literal intersection of life, death, and birth to explore topics of sex work, objectification, and motherhood through the lens of a Cronenbergian body horror.

Writer/Director Lee Lawson and Production Designer Ashley Frederick join the show to pull back the curtain on the film’s secret weapon: disarming, mesmerizing, ASMR-like vibes.

The short film is scheduled to play on Saturday, May 9th, at 9 PM in the “WTF! Nightmare Fuel” block.
