After a few thousand miles of road to Seattle and a trip to Oz and back, The Cinematic Schematic film critic duo of host/producer Caleb Masters and co-host Laron Chapman are back in action with a review of Wicked: For Good. Now on YouTube!

It’s been a little over a year since we reviewed Wicked: Part 1. Like the audience, we were also eager to see how director Jon M. Chu and the cast would deliver on the promise of the first film.

Wicked: For Good is part 2 of the two-part film adaptation of the hit Broadway musical. The film reunites stars Cynthia Erivo as Elphaba Thropp, Ariana Grande-Butera as Galinda Upland, Jonathan Bailey as Fiyero Tigelaar, Michelle Yeoh as Madame Morrible, and Jeff Goldblum as The Wonderful Wizard of Oz.

Wicked: For Good has already grossed over $400 million at the box office, but does it deserve the affection as a satisfying epic conclusion, or does this magical tale end on a whimper?

The Cinematic Schematic takes the movie head-on after discussing recent Hollywood rumors, including another potential Warner Bros. acquisition, the dire state of the 2025 box office, and the behind-the-scenes drama surrounding the production of the Fast and Furious sequel.

    Ozian critics reunite

After making the move to Seattle, Masters and Chapman reunite in a virtual studio for their first full review together since One Battle After Another in September.
