112:19 – Sound Trek with Alexandra Bohannon

The latest episode of The Cinematic Schematic wraps up The Cinematropolis‘s January theme of  Prestige Films: Past and Present with a special Oscar 2018 nomination reactions conversation featuring Laron Chapman, Alexandra Bohannon, Zachary Burns and myself. We discuss several of the major categories including Best Picture, Best Director and Best Original Screenplay among others.

In the second half of the show, Alexandra Bohannon takes back the music books in the latest edition of “Sound Trek” covering her very favorite “prestige pictures.” In this talk, she attempts to pinpoint and define the term “prestige” before breaking down tunes from Francis Ford Coppola’s Apocalypse Now.

    Jackie – “Intro”

    Apocalypse Now – “Intro”

    Apocalypse Now – “Delta”

Apocalypse Now – “Ride of the Valkyries”
