Has Zach Cregger’s Resident Evil Done It Again?
Zach Cregger’s Resident Evil is a wild 95-minute joyride packed with playful jump scares and surprising comedy. It’s a fan crowd-pleaser that never feels too derivative.
All killer, no filler. Just a man on a mission with plenty of grotesque, video game-inspired zombie chaos along the way.
It’s “Resident Evil: The Ride,” and I mean that as a compliment. It incorporates key elements from the video game series without strictly adhering to the canon.
The best sequences recreate the anxious experience of not knowing what to do when everything is trying to kill you.
Kick off your spooky season by seeing this in a packed theater.
